Why We Like It

Gravel roads out toward the Gila don't come with streetlights, and neither does a pre-dawn start on the CDT. The BC26R throws a 1600-lumen flood wide enough to read washboard and ruts well before your front wheel finds them, then dials back to sip power for the long haul. USB-C charging and a swappable battery mean you're not stuck waiting on a wall outlet before a big ride — just top it off, clip it on, and go.

• • •

  • 1600-lumen turbo mode — enough punch to light up the whole arroyo, not just the ten feet in front of your tire.
  • 100° flood beam, 169m throw — wide enough to catch switchbacks and washouts before you're in them.
  • USB-C rechargeable 5000mAh battery, 4-hr full charge — top it off at camp before a pre-dawn CDT push.
  • Up to 65-hour runtime on low — outlasts a multi-night bikepacking trip without hunting for an outlet.
  • IP68 waterproof, full-metal housing — shrugs off monsoon downpours and Gila River crossings alike.
  • Quick-release mount, helmet-compatible — swap from bar to helmet in seconds, no tools required.

Local Knowledge

Can I use my own battery instead of the included one?
Yes — the BC26R also runs on an 18650 cell with the Fenix ALF-18 adapter (sold separately), handy if you already carry spares.

Is this light good for both handlebar and helmet use?
Both. It ships with a quick-release bar mount and is compatible with Fenix's ALD-08 helmet mount if you want to run it up top.

How tough is the housing really?
IP68-rated and impact-tested to a 4.5-ft drop — built for washboard gravel, not just pavement.
