Why We Like It

Running vests are great right up until it's 90° on the Continental Divide and your back is a swamp. The LF 2L moves a vest's worth of kit to your hips — two flasks, a layer, snacks, even poles — and it genuinely does not bounce. We've put a lot of miles on ours, and it's the belt we trust when the trail turns to loose rock, ledges, and switchbacks that ask for your full attention.

• Two flasks, no drama — The rear pocket carries a pair of 650 mL soft flasks with ease, and we've squeezed in a third smaller flask in a pinch when the next spring was more rumor than fact.
• Large 650 mL HydraPak flask included — A big-capacity flask with a locking cap comes in the box, so you're ready to run the day it arrives.
• Zero-bounce suspension — An internal strap system cinches the rear pocket tight and keeps cinching as you drink it down. In technical terrain, that means your footwork stays on the rocks, not on your hips.
• Five pockets — A zippered rear pocket for flasks and a wind layer, two outer stretch pockets for phone and grab-it-now stuff, and two inner pockets for gels.
• Pole & ice tool bungees — Stash trekking poles on the runnable stretches and pull them back out when the grade goes vertical.
• UHMWPE ripstop shell — Stretch nylon woven with a Dyneema grid that Raide rates as highly cut-resistant — a good trait in catclaw country.
• Foam back + four flexible stays — 3 mm perforated foam and plastic stays keep the belt flat on your lumbar instead of rolling up into a sausage.

What size Raide LF 2L should I get?
Go by your pant waist: Small fits 28–30, Medium 30–32, Large 32–34, XL 34–36. If you're between sizes, or plan to carry it fully loaded, size up.

How much water can the LF 2L carry?
Two 650 mL soft flasks fit with ease, about 1.3 L total, and a large-capacity 650 mL HydraPak flask comes included. In a pinch, we've fit a third smaller flask too.

Does the LF 2L bounce on technical trails?
No. We've run in ours a lot, and it stays locked in on rocky, technical terrain, even with two full flasks.

Can a running belt really replace a hydration vest?
For most runs, yes — that's what Raide built the LF 2L to do. For long unsupported days where you need more water or bulky layers, a vest still wins.
